Class 3 Flammable Liquid Warning Diamond / Hazchem Label Printed on Self-adhesive Vinyl and supplied as individual labels. Conforms to BS 5609. The British Standard specification for marine use, whereby the label (both material and ink) must withstand 3 months continuous immersion in sea water. Meets IMDG, ADR & IMO Specifications.
This flammable label / Flammable liquid hazard warning diamond is suitable for marking containers carrying dangerous goods of flammable liquids such petrol and alcohol. Flammable liquids (class 3 imdg, class 3 adr) emit flammable vapours at or below 61°C. Class 3 Flammable liquids are subclasses according to the particular flashpoint of the flammable liquid, although all must be labelled with the Class 3 placard on shipping containers. Inner packages should also be suitably labelled with class 3 packaging labels of 100x100mm in size.
The class 3 sub class of the flammable liquid is used to classify packaging and stowage requirements in regulations such as the IMDG Code:
Class 3.1 covers flammable liquids with low flashpoints below -18°C such as acetone. Class 3.2 indicates a flammable liquid such as benzene which has flash points between -18°C and 23°C. Class 3.3 Flammable liquids such as some alcoholic drinks have flash points between 23°C and 61°C.
